Banishing snakes from the land.
I'll drink to that, thank you.
It's an interesting day for a walk today. Everyone's been turning colors. I watched a young woman go ginger today when she bumped into a young man. Some kind of a mood curse. It would be easy to modify into a hex of some sort, maybe.
Don't get any ideas, Ginny Weasley.
It makes me a little nostalgic. Maybe only because he's gone, I'm beginning to miss my old friend.
Oh, no. This isn't very good.
This isn't very good at all, I don't think.
And with only a couple of days. More than an inconvenience, really, but as disturbing as those problems may be, my own problems can't even be the worst of it.
Not good.
[ooc: brb hospital visit. ]
Well. Busy times at home, very busy times.
Now that it's all quieter, however, I can get back to something that had been put momentarily on the back burner. It feels awkward or upsetting a little to be excited to get back to business after a short break. Perhaps because for myself business is not quite separable from pleasure.
That said, to the point: I'd like to get that shoppe running. If you're still interested, Hermione, Ginny, I would love your continued help. Yourself as well, Ron, though I know you've got more than enough on your plate these days.
I'll be holding a public tasting of offered charmed candies and local novelty foods, if we want to call them that, nearby the fountain in the afternoon and early evening of tomorrow. I hope that's alright-- I won't get arrested for soliciting or loitering or anything, will I? I never know.
And I still need a name.
I think I'm not very good at this whole thing yet.
Oh, that reminds me, Severus-- stop by in the morning, may I? To talk about those adjustments you're making?
After all of that business with the zombies, Christmas was appropriately quiet. I enjoyed it greatly, seeing as it was spent largely in the company of some of my favorite former students, and seeing as it was the first one I spent in any kind of decent company in quite a handful of years.
I thank everyone who got me gifts, I can't express enough gratitude, although I can certainly try and I hope each of you expects to get a thank you letter in the mail or under their doors in the next few days.
As well I hope that we all got plenty of rest and plenty of good food in us over the holiday.
Has anyone heard from Severus?
That was a terrible time to end up ill. Sorry for skipping you by yesterday, Ron, it's just that I was in a bad spot again. Anyone else as well, who's been trying to reach me. I've been out of it until just now.
So, what did I miss?
And what is that awful smell been?
